"We Were Younger Then" Track By Track: Track 1
Well, track 1 is "71st & Citadel". The title of this song comes from the name of one of the most dangerous British trenches in World War 1 and woven into this imagery is a blend of words for The Sermon on the Mount and The Statue of Liberty. The idea being that for all the promises that are given that everything is going to be alright, so often that it not the case.
Instrumentally this track has a number of guitars layered to bring a cacophony to the music reflecting that found lyrically.
"We Were Younger Then" is available now on Bandcamp for $4 for 12 tracks.
